Blueprint KPIs: Coverage Maps vs. Vanity Heatmaps
By Sora Han
Coverage maps answer where activations should appear; readiness scores answer whether teams can sustain them. We stack both so regional leads stop debating colors and start debating staffing, printing buffers, and partner acknowledgement delays.
Readiness scores blend acknowledgement timestamps, historical fixture conflicts, and distributor response latency—explicitly not revenue promises. When scores dip, we recommend operational moves: extra POS drops, alternate lanes, or simplified messaging.
Used honestly, the pairing reduces theatrics in steering rooms and keeps retailer relationships respectful.
